This portion of N Lamar Blvd is a four lane road with a center turn lane and as a result will need a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon. This request has been forwarded to the Ped Crossing Program for consideration as the program prioritization and available funding allows. This portion of N Lamar Blvd is Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) right of way. Created TxDOT 'Contact Us' ticket for requestor so that TxDOT can review request.

Caller voiced concerns about vehicles disregarding stop signs at the intersection of White Rock Dr and Shoal Creek Blvd. Caller states that EB, WB, and NB stop signs are obstructed by tree branches. Informed caller that Transportation and Public Works (TPW) does not flashing stop signs. Informed caller that Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHB) are generally appropriate mid-block on Level 3 or 4 roads. White Rock Dr is a all-way stop controlled intersection in a residential area. As a result, TPW does not recommend the installation of a PHB at this location. Issued service ticket with TPW's Urban Forestry to clear obstructions. Informed caller that TPW staff will conduct site visit to determine if advanced stop warning signs are appropriate. 8/4/26 - Conducted site visit. Confirmed 200 feet of sign visibility at all approaches. Transportation Engineering does not recommend installing advanced stop warning signs at this time.
