Field Inspection Conducted - Close SR. Good morning Andrew, Thank you for contacting the City of Austin. My name is Stephen Barkley and I'm with the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW). I'm responding to your 311 inquiry requesting a "no parking" restriction on the north side of Holly Street between San Marcos Street and Waller Street. On April 9, 2025, I conducted a field visit to Holly Street to get a better understanding of your concern. The south side of this portion of Holly Street is parking restricted via TPW's residential parking permit program. Holly Street is a public street and there does not appear to be any safety or mobility issues for those choosing to park on the north side of Holly Street. For these reasons TPW will not install parking restrictions on the north side of Holly Street. To reinforce state law of not parking within 30 feet of an intersection TPW installed "no Parking" signage on the north side of Holly Street at its intersection with both San Marcos Street and Waller Street in order to provide clearance at these intersections.
