Traffic Signal - Modification

Issue Has Been Resolved - Close SR. This intersection is currently operating at full capacity, with traffic conditions during the PM peak period significantly worse. To manage the heavy volumes in the PM peak, we have dual service for the north and south approaches within a single cycle. While the green time may seem shorter, this is actually the maximum green time we can allocate under the current configuration. An overpass is planned as part of an upcoming TxDOT project, which is expected to provide long-term relief. However, construction may take time, so while congestion will eventually be alleviated, short-term improvements are limited by existing constraints.
