Field Inspection Conducted - Close SR. I spoke with the Participant on February 12, 2026, and informed that Austin Transportation and Public Works does not install safety mirrors in public right of way because they are not an approved traffic control device in the Texas Manual on Uniform Transportation Control Devices and that mirrors in the right of way can actually serve as a distraction to drivers.
