Outdoor Commercial Venue Music Complaint

Inspection Performed - Close SR. Received a number of complaints for Watr1 rooftop bar playing loud amplified outdoor music. Went to location, spoke with door staff, then the hotel duty manager and the Watr1 Bar manager outside in the circle drive. As I explained to the Waterline staff, City inspection staff is bound by ordinance to take sound readings from public property only. As such, my reading can be taken from Red River, Driskall or Davis at ground level ONLY. Readings were taken from these locations in the company of Waterline staff. Ambient street and traffic noise only. I was informed that the DJ at the 16th floor rooftop bar had packed up and left at 1am and that any music remaining was background music for the staff as they cleaned up. All other complaints regarding this same property on this date will be closed as duplicates and will refer back to this Service Request.
